Hospice of Palm Beach County is located in West
Palm Beach, Florida and cares for patients throughout Palm Beach County. However, we will start caring for patients
on 8/15/11 in Broward County which is the county directly south of Palm Beach County. So there is potential for growth
to a full-time position over the next 6 months to a year.
Description: The position provides music therapy consultations and services
to the patient and/or family in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care as an integral part of the comprehensive
care services of Hospice of Palm Beach County, Inc. It is for per diem work 11-20 hours/week.
Requirements: Degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA accredited university.
Certification as a Music Therapist and Board Certified (MT-BC) desired; eligibility for certification as MT-BC is required.
One to two years’ music therapy experience preferred. Experience working in hospice or in a health care related
field preferred. Skilled in evaluating effectiveness of interventions and documentation. Good interpersonal skills
with patients, families and staff. Ability to work independently and within a clinical team. Ability to communicate
