The Great Lakes Center for Music Therapy in End of Life Care at
Eastern Michigan University
Located in the heart of southeastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Eastern
is easily accessible. Ypsilanti, a small, historic town, is only 10 minutes from Ann Arbor and 45 minutes from major cities
such as Detroit and Toledo. Headed by Professor Michael McGuire, Eastern's Music Therapy Program has been educating music
therapy students for over 30 years.
The East Coast Center for Music Therapy in End of Life Care at
Berklee College of Music
Founded in 1945 and located in Boston, Berklee College of Music is
the world's largest independent music college and the premier institution for the study of contemporary music. Headed
by Dr. Suzanne Hanser, the Music Therapy Program at Berklee has been educating music therapists since 1996.
